A staple of pistoliers everywhere, the Gunbelt was an essential piece of equipment in the Old West & beyond. Holsters mounted on a belt started showing up in the 1840's from enterprising leatherworkers and saddlesmiths. Gunbelt holsters came in many forms, the Slim Jim, Mexican Loop and Buscadero to name a few.
